The Cotton Thimble opened in downtown Wisconsin Rapids August 1993 then moved to our new building at 540 Daly Ave., August 2001. We our committed to meeting the needs of the quilting world. The Cotton Thimble carries over 8000 bolts of fabric, as well as a large selection of quilting books, notions and stencils. All of our fabrics are 100% cotton, and are famous brand names. We also carry full “collections” of many of our fabrics, so you are sure to find the style and color that’s just right for your project.

The Cotton Thimble also carries a limited variety of ,  beautiful ready-made gifts, such as finished quilts and baskets. Our hand-made-one-of-a-kind gifts are great for weddings, house-warming parties, birthdays and just about any occasion you can imagine.

To help keep you inspired and to help you learn the new and old techniques alike, classes are scheduled throughout the year. This is a great way to share ideas, meet others who share similar passions and to learn how to handle a particularly tricky part of your project.
